Professional Activities:
Professor Huang Gaobao has finished more than 30 research projects, published more than 200 papers and 21 monographs, obtained about 30 medals and awards on conservation tillage, multiple cropping, water-saving agriculture, 3R agriculture and macro-agriculture.
On conservation tillage research, he started in early 1990’s, and later cooperated with Australian experts funded by ACIAR, developed conservation tillage systems for rainfed areas on the Western Loess Plateau. On multiple cropping, he developed intercropping skills in the areas with altitude higher than 1500 meters. His water-saving agriculture and 3R agriculture research has being focused in inland irrigation areas in Gansu Province.
For his outstanding research work and achievments, he had been invited as project experts by Asia Development Bank(ADB), United Nations Development Program (UNDP),ACIAR and FAO.
